Hit the Road with Jack and Annie: The Magic Tree House Live Tour!

May 20, 2011

Recently, I was thrilled to attend the San Diego stop on the first-ever Magic Tree House Live Event, an interactive show by Jack and Annie who hit the road on a Magic Tree House bus, stopping to do events in 20 cities across the country. This event was hosted by Warwick’s Books in La Jolla, and it was lively and fun, featuring songs, a scripted performance, and lots of excitement from the 300 parents and children who attended! After the performance, children of all ages lined up, eager to meet Jack and Annie, get their favorite Magic Tree House books stamped, and have pictures taken with them.

According to the Warwick’s children’s book buyer, Jan Iverson, “We got great feedback that the kids loved the performance and were thrilled to meet Jack and Annie! Jack and Annie were great with the kids, and asked them all what their favorite Magic Tree House book was before taking pictures with them. The event was a hit!”

Tim also shared feedback from Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville, Illinois, who hosted the live tour a few weeks before. Gail Wetta, from the store, said “We had fun with the 200+ kids and parents who attended the event! Several families drove to the event from Michigan, over 175 miles from our store!”

If your kids or students are fans of this historical adventure series, please visit the Magic Treehouse website for games, classroom activities, information on the live tour and the Magic Tree House play, chapter samplers, a special Teacher’s Club and much more. The tour was so much fun and I can’t wait to experience it again next year with my little girl, who should be just the perfect age for the books by then!
