Catching Up New Readers: Popular Posts and a Little About Us

May 9, 2011

We were thrilled to be featured on WordPress’ Freshly Pressed on Friday for the post Erin wrote in honor of Mother’s Day on reading with her kids. Since we know we have new readers that might not have been with us this past year, we wanted to welcome you, fill you in on who we are, and give you a look at our most popular posts of the past year. We hope you stick around! We have lots of exciting posts coming up: features on picture books, middle grade and young adult novels, behind-the-scenes looks at author signings and indie bookstore events, special educator and librarian-themed posts, giveaways, reviews and much more!

So, who are we? We are a group of 10 readers and book lovers who are lucky enough to have a dream job – Sales Reps for Random House Children’s Publishing. We love books, teachers, librarians, independent bookstores, and basically anyone who also believes that reading and talking about books are a wonderful way to spend a day. We read Random House Children’s books, and books for children and adults from many other publishers too.

This blog is intended share our passion and knowledge of books with anyone who will listen (or read, in this case)!  The views expressed on this blog are our independent thoughts and in no way represent our employer.  We just love to talk about children’s books with other book lovers!

We post on a wide variety of topics. The ten most popular posts of the past year are below. Check them out!

I am one of your newbies who saw you on fresh pressed. Thank you for this “getting to know you” post! I am very excited to catch up w/ your posts & what comes next.
I am a homeschooling mother of 5 kiddos age 8 & under. Reading together is part of daily life.
I also represent Usborne Books & More as a way of educating other parents about literacy & developing a love & lifestyle of reading & helping them build great libraries for their families.
I can’t wait to glean what you have to offer. Thanks again! & check out my new blog as well! There are various book reviews, etc. Let me know what you think!

As a YA writer (yes, I’m laughing as I write that) and mother to an avid pre-reader (I doubt he’s actually reading those words, no matter how many hours he spends starting at his books!), I look forward to perusing these entries after my little one’s asleep tonight!

Yeah interesting little blog. Writing is a passion and if you write you might as well be good at it and write from the heart with passion. The written word is important to the very fabric of humanity. Like your blog !!! Today I’ve added another article on my blog also.
