12 Days of Books: Our 12th Day and Your Chance to Win all of the Books!

December 24, 2010

We have been featuring one short review a day from a member of our group for the past 11 days (excluding weekends) as part of our 12 Days of Books. We have covered all age ranges, from baby through adult books. Now that we’ve reached the end of the 12 days, we will offer one lucky reader the chance to win all 12 books to read yourself, give as gifts, or donate to your local schools or libraries. If you missed day 1, click here. Click on the numbers to see days 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, or 11. The books we covered are a wide variety of genres and age levels- a cookbook, an adult novel, picture books, board books, middle reader chapter books and young adult novels.

Since we will be taking the next week off to spend time with our families, you have until January 3rd, when we return, to comment here or on Facebook for a chance to win all 12 books! Just leave any comment about the books we’ve featured, your favorite book of the year, or anything else you want to share with our readers, and we will draw a winner at the end of the day January 3rd.

Thank you all for reading our blog this year! We really appreciate getting to share our passion for books with you. Happy holidays and New Year!

Today’s final review comes to us from Kate!

The Color Kittens by Margaret Wise Brown and Alice and Martin Provensen

Perfect for: a stocking stuffer that will be treasured for a lifetime, preschool-aged children.

Why they will love it: My favorite board book for gift giving is THE COLOR KITTENS by Margaret Wise Brown, illustrated by Alice and martin Provensen. This simple story of Hush and Brush making their way through a busy day painting and learning how colors make new colors is bright, charming, lyrical and a perfect bedtime read.

You guys have put out a great selection for your 12 days posts. I have read the Nora Ephron book and it made me lmao. I have heard wonderful things from others about Dash and Lily and I love the cover of Revolution and the story sounds intriguing

Merry Christmas to Everyone and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday filled with plenty of time to read
