12 Days of Books! Daily Reviews and a Huge Giveaway!

December 9, 2010

Somehow, we are already racing into December. The weeks are flying by, and many of us are busy with end-of-the-year work, holidays, family, and the million other obligations that come with this time of year. So, to keep our posts short, sweet, and hopefully helpful to our readers, we are starting the 12 Days of Books today!

We’ll be featuring one short review a day from a member of our group from now until December 24 (excluding weekends), so check back daily! We’ll cover all age ranges, from baby through adult books. And at the end of the 12 days, we will offer one lucky reader the chance to win all 12 books to read yourself, give as gifts, or donate to your local schools or libraries.

Here, from Nic, is our first review. Enjoy!

The Devil’s Breath, by David Gilman

Perfect for:  Fans of the Alex Rider Series by Anthony Horowitz, adventure seekers, video game players

Why they will love it:  Suspense and adventure on every page!  First Max is being shot at by an assassin, then he finds out his father has gone missing.   Throw in a potential ecological disaster, a friendly bushman, a computer whiz kid and a rocking female pilot and you’ve got yourself a serious page turner.  AND book two, Ice Claw, is available now!  X-Treme winter sports, a motorcycle gang, political conspiracies make Ice Claw just as riveting as The Devil’s Breath.

The phrase “fans of Alex Rider” caught my attention. I am going to have to get this one!

Sounds like a great book! But then, I know Nic wouldn’t steer me wrong. 🙂

I know I could probably just go look it up — but I got too much to do today — what is the age range on it.
